Creative Update 131

Post by Jan Stephen Solis

It was given as a final project from my compositing professor. The final project’s suppose to be a hands on implementation of various compositing technique my professor has taught his students throughout the course. Our professor offered various project approaches that involves compositing, such as motion graphics, keying & rotoscoping. I chose to do an effects scene with a dragon because I was highly inspired by The Hobbit’s The Desolation of Smaug movie. I was really fascinated how they animated and composited the dragon in a realistic matter. Also I was inspired by my professors work. He was one of the lead vfx compositor for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise. Wanted to deliver my final project as close to  professional quality and standards as possible.
