This week, I decided to focus on something slightly different: a photographer. Leslie Williamson is mostly known for her book ‘handcrafted modern’, where she covers famous mid century houses, including such classics as the Eames house, and houses from Harry Bertoia to Jens Risom. The book is a beauty and highly recommended. Her work can be also found on her website here,
on her blog,
and on the NYT:
Beyond the incredible visuals, you’ll see just how much she is invested in her work and loves what she does; terrific.
Some of you know that I’m into jam making and pickling. I’ve been making jams for years, but SQIRL has inspired me to get to the next level. She sells jams (for example at the local Glendale proof bakery) and teaches in her Silverlake studio, I mentioned her to you all before I believe. Her stuff is here: http://sqirlla.com/
The pickling class I took two weeks ago from Uri of http://www.brassicaandbrine.com/ was so much fun, though I won’t have results until a couple of weeks from now.
